Batsto River East .. A PBX Hike

Because of my little mix-up, I got to do this hike nearly twice. I showed up on the 4th at the meeting spot only to find no one waiting to greet me. My son and his girlfriend were on their way too. So as not to waste a good day in the woods, we did a brief hike to two of the savannahs. My son's...

I remember this when it happened and it gets resurrected now and then. I listened to two seasoned trappers argue over their supposed sighting near Vineland just two years ago. http://articles.philly.com/1987-06-23/news/26184719_1_big-cat-wild-cat-door-frame My guess would be a very dark phase...

I have a vole problem and I spray coyote pee in their tunnel holes. I buy it from a trapping supplier in MN. That works okay but you have to keep on them

You am be havin' a mole problem Guy ! An old timer gave me an organic cure that I tried and it sort of worked. Put child's pinwheels around the garden. They don't like the vibration in the soil. The absolute best cure was Mole-Tox sold by Agway years ago. Push your finger through their tunnels...

It really is important to get the kids involved. Children need to see how food really does come out of the ground and not just off a shelf in a store. They also gain a wholesome, healthy work ethic by helping bring food to the table for their family.

    Bluefish

After that gator blue I shouldn't eat another one until 2025. I am really good at estimating temperature though. ;)

It looks like the cast-iron insert is an extra Bob. I agree it looks like it would be a pain in the ass. You could always buy and maintain a good seasoned cast iron pan and put that on the grill. Open flame or intense heat does not bother the cast-iron pan. In fact the cast-iron Dutch oven's...

    Bluefish

Thanks gentlemens. I really enjoy cooking good food for people. I go a little overboard sometime trying to enlighten people who sustain themselves on foods that come out of boxes, cans or eat otherwise pre-prepared items. Nothing beats fresh, basic or wild ingredients for making a meal.

    Bluefish

I stayed out of this for a little while because bluefish edibility is always leads to a lively discussion with no winners or losers. I learned to cook when I was very young from my mother and grandmother. They were the best. Then I learned a lot of the backwoods cooking and wine making methods...

I planted 16 San Marzano tomatoes, 16 Ramapo tomatoes, 12 grape tomatoes, 20 cubanelles, 20 long hots, 8 cherry hots, 8 eggplant, 4 hills of zucchini and 4 hills of Marketmore cukes. The San Marzanos were sickly looking when I bought them last week and I am keeping an eye on them. If they stay...

I always wanted a Savage .22 over 20 combination gun when I was a kid but never did buy one. Back then, NJF&W did not allow a rifle of any kind for anything. Savage started making the combination guns in the 1950's and they were popular for a long time. I just found out that Savage has brought...

Actually, the underlying story as to why there was such a huge LE presence in Greenwood WMA is encouraging. The presence was a joint effort of multiple agencies that had as an objective finding illegal off-road vehicle use. So, they came up with a Nazi. A well armed Nazi going off-road...

Wow, scary stuff in the woods around Lacey. Only a week after the prisoner grab. There is an embedded link to a documentary on his and his brother's previous murderous jaunts. Why don't people stay in prison when they surely need to be there ...

    WMA Survey

Just a little friendly ball breaking Guy. But $600,000+ is a lot of money that perhaps could have been directed toward actual habitat improvement or property acquisitions.

    WMA Survey

I would have done the survey for $100.00. Question 1. Do you hunt or fish this WMA ? No ? Then beat it. :)
