I pulled my boat out of CM today. Highest tides I ever experienced at the marina. Two hours after dead high the water was still not receding and had surcharged 300' back into the boat yard from the ramp.
I think the next two days may be uglier than the hurricane itself.

Given the title of the thread and Bob's impish, cheerful but inciteful little dig, "I like this decision. Give me a shout if you do too", I was surprised it took as long as it did to slip this precipitously close to the Slag Heap.

I lived some of that mayhem back in the day. The stories you heard were very true. It was like Mad Max Return To Thunderdome with lots of beer and good looking women.
