    Rattlesnake Bite on 679 !!

And you wonder why I don't like snakes. This good samaritan was trying to move it out of the road. I find they are more easily removed with a shovel after they are flattened. Only kidding. http://www.courierpostonline.com/article/20110617/NEWS01/110617007/Rattlesnake-bites-man-Pinelands

Upper reaches of the Webbs Mill Branch

Great photos Chris, looks like a good day. The woods is drying up quickly. Tonight's rain here was a little help. Was Russ doing jumping jacks when you cut the yote tracks ? :)

    guess what and where?

The Paint Works was the former Lucas Paint Factory, later Sherwin Williams in Gibbsboro. The brick kilns were preserved as a memneto of its industrial past when Scarborough converted the Paint Works into an office park in the 1980's.

    Directions Please!

Your route is balls on Bob. Oji's route might save some sitting time but it might it be a wash with the small added distance. I am very familiar with but don't frequent that area so I can't comment on the rush hour volume through Medford.

    Dismantling a Canon SX120 Lens Cover ??

If I was working with and dropping those little screws, they would be hearing my F-Bombs in outer space ! Guy, I did try prying at the very front of the lens cover and I noticed that keyway on the bottom. I worry about prying too hard because I assume there is a linkage that activates the flaps.

    Dismantling a Canon SX120 Lens Cover ??

I have a Canon SX120 and the shutter type lens cover is sticking partially open when the camera is turned on and the lens completes its extension. I talked to Canon and they would not give me any hints about getting the lens cover off and recommended sending it in for service or buying a refurb...

    Buzby's is up for sale.....

I had wildlife mangement at RU Cook in 1980 with Professor Len Wolgast and I had to work the deer check station there as part of the course. We got to pick our station and I chose Buzby's. We worked along side the biologists and helped log in and age the deer. It was a hopping joint back then...

Bog Iron: Can You Dig it, or What is the Marl of the Story?

Gabe was there for that one. It was when I appeared to have beaten an already dead snake with a wrench at the end of the hike. :)

Springtime On The Tulpehocken, A PBX Hike

It was a wondrous day in the wild woods and streams of NJ. We walked and breathed in places that those who don't venture far from the beaten path will ever see. My only regret was that my Canon SX120 started fritzing on me with the lens cover shutter sticking partly shut. I did manage a few...

Mystery of the Canadian Whisky Fungus

Hmmm, you have a point Ben. I usually do blend some of my wines after they are finished. Most of the time it's to balance the sweetness because some finish drier than others. Blending whiskey, especially cheap whiskey, is usually an economic move by the distiller. If you see blended on the...

Mystery of the Canadian Whisky Fungus

Maybe they should pressure wash the houses with the Canadian whiskey. In my not so humble opinion, that's all it's really good for. Most Canadians are blended, which is an indication that they really don't make anything too stellar that can stand on its own. Give me a good old US of A straight...
