    Becoming a Forest Ranger

That sounds good Bob. It also sounds more economical than doing the full run at the 4 year school. We have one son in Camden County College and one in a 4 year school, Millersville Univ., and the County tuition bill is pretty manageable. The Millersville bill is slowly bleeding me out. Next...

    Becoming a Forest Ranger

BCC would probably get you to the Associates level. Most county colleges, as far as I know, do not offer bachelor degree programs. Some are affiliated with 4 year schools that make transfer of credits to the 4 year school an easy transition.

    Becoming a Forest Ranger

You will need a bachelors degree to become a ranger in N.J. I graduated from Cook College in 1981 with a bachelors degree in their Natural Resouce Management program. (now called Professional Resource Management) Lynn Flemming, who was on the list posted above as Assistant Director of Parks and...

Haddonfield - after the great flood?

Meet you on top of Apple Pie Hill when the S hits the fan. Should be high enough. I got the wine and I'll bring the smoked deer meat. Scott

Haddonfield - after the great flood?

I did two weeks on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska 4 years ago and did some minor hiking around what is known as the Exit Galcier. Here is a link: http://www.nps.gov/kefj/planyourvisit/exit-glacier.htm As you drive up to it, there are signs along the road marking where the glacier was at various...

favorite places to eat and imbibe in the pines

George I am pleased to inform you that I was part of that stupid drunk trick. It was me, your dad, Tommy, Kerry and Joe Sharp. We had snoot full before we even got there. Me and Tommy were walkng in to the bar and I saw the cow tethered in the back of a guy's pickup. It was a young Jersey...

    sewell r/p club

I just got off the phone with the tax collector. The land is still owned by the Sewell Rifle and Pistol Club and their taxes are paid to date. The property is Block 41 Lots 5&6, Shamong Township. Scott

    Cabelas

I highly recommend the Yuengling Brewery tour if you are going all the way to Cabelas. Yuengling is only about another 20 miles north in Pottsville. The building is older than dirt and built on the side of a mountain. The original cold storage was in caves down below that you were allowed to...

favorite places to eat and imbibe in the pines

I remember the goat. I also remeber the clock behind the bar that ran backwards (whacky time) and the sign listing the charges for phone call lying: Just Left $1.00 Not here $2.00 Haven't seen him. $3.00 (Just guessing at the prices. I remember seeing that clock not too long ago but it...

favorite places to eat and imbibe in the pines

I remeber the dog well, I just can't remember the name. I used to stop in quite a bit on my street legal enduro in the late 70's through mid 80's. I am thinking something very typical like Duke or Prince but I just can't recall.

favorite places to eat and imbibe in the pines

I am with you Ed. That's my kind of place. The kind of place where you wipe your feet on the way out. I think the 206 Pic kind of lost its piney edginess a few years back. In the mid to late 70's Medford Lakes and Shamong hadn't been spoiled with the McMansion developments yet and the Pic was...

    Friday in the Great Swamp

You can eat off that road most of the time. I think the Hammontonians that hunt out of the Boot Hill trailer have some pull. That looked like a nice slog Guy. This is one wet year. Scott

The Chevette is why we saw the birth of Yugos. The Eastern Europeans said "Hey we can make piece a sh-t like that." And the rest was history. :)

The condition of that road is very cyclical. After all, it is a very old road. When I first moved down here in 84 it was horrendous. I used to duck hunt Wescoat bogs a lot back then and the water in a lot of the holes would go over the headlights of my F-350 in the deepest parts of the holes...

Bob You deserve a medal for actually paying attention to what they were saying. I squashed it about 4 seconds into the video. You are far more patient than I. :)

    Abandoned Atsion NJ

You know what is sad? Its sad that we have almost a complete town sitting there going to rot and within a few more years it will be just assorted piles of rubble. That slide show shows a lot of half-assed, unfinished repairs and band aids that will never be completed. This state blows. With...

Trail growing cold for hunting in New Jersey

That was a pretty irresponsible statement about hunting to be non existent in 10 years made by someone representing Quail Unlimited. The tradition of hunting is very difficult to pass on to today's youth for all of the reasons outlined in the article. My sons who are now 21 and 19 and still...

West Mill Road: 1st Outing of the New Year

The Mummers are tolerable if you are there in person and if you have 1/2 to 3/4's of a load on. Just like the Mummers themselves used to be. Now they appear to be a little too sober and under control. Scott
