Real ID - do you have one?

In some states, all the drivers licenses are real ID compliant but NJ is not one of them. The whole thing is ridiculous, having to make an appointment to get this thing which everybody should have. I can renew my drivers license by mail or online, that's what I'm going to do; anything to save a...

That would be around here then?

Real ID - do you have one?

I'd be really surprised if they are actually able to enforce this on May 7... But the TSA has said it plans to begin "phased enforcement" on May 7, though it hasn't shared details about what that means. In a federal rule published this year, the agency said it could take a "phased approach" to...

Portable sawmill ruins near Quaker Bridge Tavern

I'm sure someone else will come along with better information, but just looking some more, this is probably the Quaker Bridge road being discussed (Quaker Bridge - Atsion Rd) and not the one in my earlier link (Quaker Bridge - Sandy Ridge Rd). There do appear to be a few things of interest South...

Portable sawmill ruins near Quaker Bridge Tavern

This would be about a half mile East of Quaker Bridge, nothing really stands out on the LIDAR for me around there however.

Portable sawmill ruins near Quaker Bridge Tavern

Sorry, I don't know anything about it. There's some discussion of a sawmill near Quaker Bridge in this old thread however, it says a half mile East of Quaker Bridge on the South side of the road.

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

Yeah, didn't notice before, but the lighter colors seem to be higher probability and the darker colors are low. Honestly, I'm just happy that we still have a national weather service at all... ;)

    Slope Map Black

This is the slope map, is that looking too dark for you? To me, it sounds like you're talking about the slope degrees map... is that what you meant? If so, then yes, I think it's too dark. Has always been like that, to the point that I questioned whether it had any real use and thought about...

    Courier Post Odd Website

I never visit their site, but it's working fine for me now. If I click your link, it also takes me to the Courier Post (even though the Xenforo preview shows Port Huron). Maybe some problem with their web hosting company that has now been fixed? https://www.courierpostonline.com/south-jersey/

Real ID - do you have one?

Was just reading an article somewhere that said NJ has no appointments available for the next month, so if you need a real ID when it goes into effect on May 7... you're out of luck. :clint:

Real ID - do you have one?

Finally got around to looking at the requirements since my Driver License is up for renewal this summer. Looks like a real pain in the butt, might be hard to come up with everything they want. https://www.nj.gov/mvc/realid/ My passport expired last year, apparently I could renew and use it...

    boydsmaps in the post-NJGIN era

The updated version of the USGS digital topo is now available. Previously, this map only offered level 15 coverage. The resolution has now been doubled, with full level 16 coverage (about 60gb of new data and 10 million new map tiles), which is the full detail available from the USGS servers...

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

Wow, nothing like that at all here. Just some heavy rain for maybe 20 minutes, I heard some distant thunder though. Looks like I got 1/4 inch rain at my place.

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

That front swept through here just as I hit the road, rough driving with pounding rain and some fog but at least it was on the back roads without much traffic. Looks like the action is in West Virginia right now, hard to tell what impact that will have on us. The forecast is pretty crazy, with...

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

Wow, have been up since 5:00 and nothing here, but I see there are some strong storms Northwest of me and there's a severe thunderstorm warning for most of the Pines. Looks like this one will pass to the north of me, but there's another fast-moving front in Delaware now that may hit me soon.

    Meteor strikes in the Pines?

Like I said it's just my opinion and "you can do as you like". I'm not going to stop anyone from posting to an old thread. My suggestion still accomplishes what you want though, just start a new thread like this: "I was reading this old thread and it reminded me of an experience I had...

    Meteor strikes in the Pines?

@ChrisDowgin - you can do as you like, but IMO, bumping these old threads is usually a bad idea. Seven of the people who posted here are no longer around, one was banned, at least one is dead. It's better to just start a new thread and include a link to the old one if it's relevant.

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

I don't think we've had anything here yet. Going out for a morning walk now, just in case it's raining later. :)
