Hike up to the top of mount tammany it is right off route 80. It is a really good hike/workout. Depending on which trail you take it is almost mild rock climbing. I hiked it with my lab and gf last summer and it was awesome.

A few weeks ago it was passable the pipe was showing some wear and tear but it wasn't nearly as bad. We will see when and if they fix it.

I have to say I live in Toms River and from about 7am till 4pm we could hear the concussions from bombs or heavy gun fire throughout the day. The bombing was constant with only a few minutes between blasts. Wasn't sure if any one else could hear or feel the same thing and where it was coming from?
