“Rough and Tumble Pine Plains," A PBX Hike

Are these hikes open to members of the site? I never understood what PBX actually meant. (I'm relatively new to the site). I'd love to go on some of these hikes with you guys when my Spring Semester in school ends...

Weymouth Furnace, Bethlehem Loading Company, and Estell Manor PArk

Thanks for the info Boyd. Are Belcoville, Estellville Glassworks, and Bethlehem Loading Company all considered the same thing? (Or generally in the same area?). And, also would you say the ruins are far more extensive than the Pasadena Brick Factory Ruins?

Weymouth Furnace, Bethlehem Loading Company, and Estell Manor PArk

Can anybody who is familiar with these places provide me with more insight into the area and what to expect when exploring these places? Also, how extensive are the ruins in this area?

    Bulltown Road Civilization?

My father used to pick up the garbage in Washington Twp. and he swears by it that there is a civilization off of Bulltown Rd. in the woods somewhere. He claims it's "an eerie place" and the people are "downright nuts" and he's not referring to the people who live on the road because he actually...

    539 Quail Management Area

Anything special I should know about the Quail Management area off of 539? I'm planning on taking a mountain biking trip through the area in the next few weeks and I just curious if there is anything I should know about the area and some cool things I might find. I've driven passed a hundred...

    Abandoned Homes on Mullica?

I honestly never even saw it until you mentioned it and I went back and looked. I just saw the pictures of the homes themselves and hastily assumed they were something historic. The way the post is written makes it seem likes it is the middle of nowhere on a remote location near the Mullica, too.

    Abandoned Homes on Mullica?

The way the article was written they made it seem like they were just abandoned in the middle of nowhere. Guess I'll stay away then. Thanks for clearing it up.

    Abandoned Homes on Mullica?

https://lostinjersey.wordpress.com/2013/08/21/abandoned-on-the-mullica-river/ Anybody know the exact location of these houses? And, does anybody know if they have any historical significance or are just old homes? I've been in the area many times and never seen them. Just curious.

    Fish Factory

how long has it been posted for? I have always heard that the Coast Guard doesn't mind if you go there as long as you are not doing anything illegal or disruptive? And, in terms of the poison ivy, wearing long sleeves, pants, etc. would be ample defense, would it not?

    Favorite/Coolest Place in the Pines

Appreciate the replies guys. This just proves how much there is to love about the Pine Barrens. I have been through most of the places you guys describe but I have never heard of Tulpehocken? What exactly is Tulpehocken? A creek?

    Favorite/Coolest Place in the Pines

I'm just wondering, guys...what is your favorite, or in your opinion the coolest, place in the Pine Barrens, and why? Mine would probably be Apple Pie Hill just because of the countless times I have been there and how incredible a sunset or sunrise can be from the top of the tower.

    "Haunted" Carranza Memorial

Thats actually a really great idea. How much do they cost? I'd probably have to borrow it because I dont think it's worth buying for one prank lol. I bowhunt deer so maybe I could find another use for it during the hunting season though.

    "Haunted" Carranza Memorial

I appreciate the replies so far guys. Having some other friends go out there before me would be a good idea but many of them don't know where they are going. The gorilla suit would be good but it's too unrealistic to get the type of response I want to do something that will get them spooked just...
