We did some searching today and started by crossing a dike on the edges of the Lebanon Forest.

We searched on the edges of some private property, and when returning a truck passed us twice and I flagged them down. I asked them a few questions and they told me the property owner was nearby. So we returned to my car and headed over to where he was at, and I talked to him a few minutes. We then hopped in with him and he drove us around the edges of his property to help me out. We did not find what I was looking for, but he is certain it was there years ago. I will be returning soon to look some more and will post any photo's if I get them.

During all this we stumbled on an old road that borders private property where someone has placed cement pillars in the road. It is right on the Lebanon line. It is always interesting walking old roads.

And we again searched for county marker #24 near Union Clay Works and were successful.

I have found that most property owners are interested in the history of their property, and I try to let them know that I am also. And telling them something they don't know or are interested in about their property works also.

Then again, most people in the pines are generally nice. Today was no exception.

Very interesting Guy, echoing Steve's comment, it is impressive that you are so influential with property owners. I'm usually not so bold enough to approach them. I am curious as to which property this was since I live in lebanon. PM me if you get a chance.

They have Jim unfortunately. One property owner told me on the phone he did not want to be rude, but NO! Hey..it is his property and he can tell who he wants to take a hike.
