Funny how people find this upsetting but don't think twice about the widespread use of herbicides and pesticides along the highways... or all the homeowners that use them in their yards.

So True Boyd. Sometimes I wonder if people even know? They see it on a shelf and Think If they sell it it must be ok.

While problems related to herbicide use are a legitimate concern, this article seems to be less about herbicides than it is about the killing or removal of trees that the sign companies were not legally allowed to, whether it was due to lack of proper permits or the trees being on adjacent property owned by others. Personally, I’m more offended by the eyesores that these signs present along our roads than I am by the methods used to clear vegetation in front of them.
