between the lake and the beaver pond.

Why hurry, there's a whole universe surrounding you.

The pickerel rush was out, but becoming long in the tooth.

The bees enjoyed them!

The yellow are not far behind.

The underside of a lilly pad, this photo, and the others were not retouched.

This plant was common but I never noticed it before. Can anyone ID it?

Such a nice day to be floating on a river. My guess on the plant is a Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis).

Thank you, I agree. I have probably been passing this plant for decades but finally slowed down enough to smell the flowers.

So you are one to think dudes are purty? That is not becoming of a Christian gentleman such as yourself.

i guess you never noticed me batting my eyes at you that time up by chatsworth lake and you probably never even noticed when i was tying my boot how i hiked my britches leg up and exposed a little more calf then necessary.so naive:)

You've got an eye for interesting shots, Ed. Of course, the flowering plants (how about that lily pad leaf!), but especially the bug. I think his eyes are marvelous, whether they're fake or not.
