It was not easy, and it took me two attempts to get there, but I made it to the Atlantic/Burlington/Camden County marker on Friday of last week. I had tried the previous Sunday, but I lacked an exact coordinate to search for and was not prepared for how dense the forest would be. Although I came close, I did not get to or find the marker.

After identifying the coordinates, I returned last Friday and approached from a different direction. I used a creek bed as much as I could before turning off into the thick stuff.

There was dense tree growth to maneuver through:

One of many spider webs I encountered.

The marker itself which I eventually stumbled upon:

A flower I found to finish the hike:

It was a difficult but rewarding trip off trail!

Very nice report! There are two other Atlantic County steel monuments in that general area to look for. You should be able to figure out where they are. Give them a try but you may want to wait until the fall.
