I'm sure at least most of you on this board know me by now. Well at least you must realize my fascination with abandoned buildings. Anyway... I have really been idle lately with my explorations due, in part, to the fact that I have simply run out of new places to explore. So the question I pose to the members of this board, who know and trust me, is: If you know of any abandoned buildings/houses in the Pines (or the greater South Jersey area), that is not considered a historic site, please send me a PM or email. I am fully aware of this site's policy on discussing locations publicly, plus I have adapted it as my own personal policy, so let's keep things between you and me. Thanks.

Any help is appreciated,
-Ben

Must they be intact? Are damaged and crumbling buildings acceptable? Give us an idea of what you prefer.

No, I am not picky. I cannot really be too picky when it comes to man made structures that have stood up to the perils of time and nature. I enjoy any and all old abandoned buildings, ecspecially those which are little known and seldom explored.

Amen to that.

There was a post on here many many months ago about an abandoned house somewhere on Rt 9 between New Gretna and Tukerton. Does anyone have more precise directions here?

Stu - I checked out those cabins after school today. It was a really cool site being right on the Mullica like that. Very secluded as well. Beautiful day to do it on too.

I've been to this house in question. Gets a 10 on the creepy scale. When I was there, there wasn't any no tresspassing signs but I think there used to be. It is fairly close to the road and the integrity of the house looks very unsafe. I have to go on record not recommending that you go in there.

If you drive down Rt. 9 from New Gretna towards Tuckerton it will be on the left. Easy to miss because the road curves a little at that point. As I recall from the earlier post there is some legend regarding the house. It definitely looks like it should be haunted.
