Peter Gabriel's "Here Comes the Flood" would also have fit the day, Oji. The rivers were beasts.
But alluring as well. Kayaking would have proved quite the adventure, with the waters spreading wide and into the swamps, creating rare paddleways between maple and cedar.
I like the third from the bottom Whip. There is a lot going on there, and it's just like you to recognize that. A feast for the eyes for sure. I also really like the treebark and water shot. It says.....nature; pure and clean--clean and pure.
The Toop. The Wading. The Skit. The trio is a lot to swallow in one day (with rain to wash it all down) ... but toss down some Snickage and a man can fly for miles.
I like the last one best Whip. It gives the feeling of dampness and rain in a big way....sodden, sultry....I get the vibes from the photo that I feel on some of those days in the pines.
Glo if you want to have some fun wait till youse are deep in a swamp he hasn't been in before and then hide his gps, better yet do it on a cloudy night,he can get direction from astronomical objects.then ask him where his Silva is

the fourth and ninth down are the best.the ninths reflections threw me at first, didn't know what i was looking at.didn't see the water.thought it was a very odd shaped tree indeed.

All the pictures are great. My 2 favorites are the 2nd from the bottom on post #6 (it's haunting) and the 4th from the bottom (the reflection) on the last post.
Thanks for posting,
