Anyone see it?

Lately, meteors seem to be a hot topic. If more folks got out of their homes and looked up, they would see that streaks of light in the sky occur nightly.
 
I saw it! I was out taking a walk with the dog and saw 2 bright flashes. The flashes were very bright and I first thought the flashes came from a camera, but when I turned and looked up I was lucky enough to spot the bright dot of light streaking across the sky. It looked a lot like a shooting star looks, and I assume the bright flashes I saw may have come from when it broke atmosphere?
