Apple Pie Hill

I am hearing that sometime in the last week or so someone broke into the tower and knocked out the windows. Anyone know about this????

My son and his friend were there one day last week. He climbed the tower and obviously you can't get in. From the pics he took though, it doesn't look like any damaged stuff was on the ground. Couldn't say about the actual top of the tower though.

I sure hope not. The earliest I'd be able to get there to confirm it wouldn't be until late tonight.

I went passed Rigler Road yesterday, 11.3.10, and the Road sign was missing. I took a couple of pictures of the monuments and it seems that they were damaged a little more than usual. I would like to see Rigler Road closed off and hopefully it would limit the damage to Apple Pie Hill.

Only thing is that there are a bunch of other ways there that alot of people are familiar with.

I hiked the Batona Trail through Apple Pie Hill today (Sat, Nov 6) The windows in the fire tower are all intact. Somebody threw a 32" rear projection TV off the tower. The glass that is on the ground is from the picture tube.
