Saw them harvesting this past weekend. I guess cranberries, like every other crop, vary from year to year based on the weather. The local NJ Pine Barrens cranberries I bought this year appear to be lighter in color than previous years.

It might have been a different variety. Ocean Spray told growers they would not accept older varieties and in the past few years the growers have been forced to replant. At least that is what I was told by a grower.
