Atsion Lake in Shamong is a popular watering hole

I thought a watering hole was a bar or saloon and was derived from a place where wild animals would go to drink. Never though of Atsion Lake as a "watering hole".
 
I think the person who wrote it does not quite understand that. They may be young.
 
we used to drive from Mayfair (Philly) to swim there once a week in 1966. i remember the song "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" playing on the AM radio.
 
You must have moved over here not long after that. You graduated with my brother. I have a photo of you from his yearbook :) I showed him your current photo and he had no idea who you were.
 
I grew up in west philly. Moved here in 73. I remember trips there. Was it not closer to 206. The beach and a little snack shack was there. I may be confusing it with some other place
 
Yes, the swimming beach was up at 206 in the SE corner. I remember swimming there in 1966.
