Had a little time to kill & a couple black & white shots to burn up Sunday morn'. Nice out, looked like a lot of horses getting ready to ride. Looking at the schoolhouse I wonder...when they put new roofs on them to stop the decay some, doesn't that new weight really stress the old timbers ?? Maybe they shore them up some but then I noticed it only looks like 1x4 or 1x6 runners with Cedar shingle. Probably not that heavy. I wonder are those shingles made @ Batsto ??
Takin' pics of falling down structures is o.k. but man, can't the trash just stop. It just ruins shots. So I walked over the bridge for a stream shot. Nice, but of course along came a Guiness can floating along pretty as you please. Real nice. Employing my bag theory and having forgotten to bring one I contented myself to a handful of junk. A molecule if you will. I went back by alternate transportation about 4:00 P.M. with my son by way of Fleming pike & the railroad. Nice ride. He loves the bridges. This time I had a bag.
