Stars were bright in Richland. There was a glowing faint red haze, but it didn't "flash" so had no way to link it to aurora. I too lament the loss of stars due to encroaching urbanization. My municipality requires developers to add streetlights along roadways. We tried to adopt a model light ordinance like Eatontown's to limit light pollution, but I was forced off the environmental commission over redevelopment issues before it could be enacted.

Nothing here. From what I heard you had to be at least in the Catskills to get anything, at that was very little at best. The in-car GPS was acting up though showing me about 1000' off the road I was on.
