My wife and I decided on Turkey Swamp Park because of the proximity to home, and the mix of deciduous trees. My foot is injured and I've been itching to get out and hike, so I snapped some pics to share with you all here. Not sure what the max number of pics is that I can share, so I'll start with just a few:

Nice. Great fall weather. Our weather may be cold and rainy at times, but we do get our share of the good ones. Hooray for the sun, and hooray for Autumn!

Hope your foot gets better .Great pics , thanks for sharing ! If you're into fishing , the lake @ Turkey swamp is real good for bass . I go there all the time . Next time check out Allaire St. Park or Manasquan Reservoir , all about 10-15 mins fom TSCP . Manasquan has a Nature center + Visitor center , great fishing and a Nesting pair of Bald Eagles ...Allaire , well could probably write a seperate article on that one .Lets say it has a bit of everything !

Nice report! You couldn't have picked a better day to spend in the woods! Turkey Swamp is great, I love that area of Monmouth County. I have a friend that lives on Nomoco Rd. just down the road from the park entrance. I used to spend a good amount of time up there back a few years ago.

Yes, Sir! I have caught some nice bass out of the lake. Only one problem, in the summer when the bass fishing is best in the morning and evening, the gate is locked. So if you like to fish at those times, you have to walk in and fish from the shore. I like to wait for the gate to open and fish out of my canoe or my john boat. Even not fishing the peak times I do good.
