Cast iron rules. It's the original non-stick without the possibility of giving you brain cancer !

Speaking of that, I'm due for a new grill, and was intrigued by this one due to the cast iron insert it comes with (I hate the smell of frying indoors). What do you think of this new grill system Scott? I am hesitant, thinking I'd rarely use the insert due to having to clean it after.

It looks like the cast-iron insert is an extra Bob. I agree it looks like it would be a pain in the ass. You could always buy and maintain a good seasoned cast iron pan and put that on the grill. Open flame or intense heat does not bother the cast-iron pan. In fact the cast-iron Dutch oven's are meant to be buried in coals.

My gosh, we are so lucky to live near such abundance. If you can't grow or catch it yourself, skip the supermarket and buy something from a local farm stand or fish monger.

Just use a tad of caution for what species, where it is caught and how often you consume it. NJ has changed much from the good ole days ;)
