I was recently watching a10s live fire at the range. I live pretty close so I usually go whenever I hear something. I was wondering if there was a viewing spot, I normally go to the gravel parking area but I was wondering if there was a spot that you can get closer. I was also wondering if there was a viewing point there you can watch the explosions. Thanks

Not legally. And there would be no real “explosions” to witness anyway, as the practice ordnance has the minimum charge required to produce a puff of smoke in order to mark and score the impacts. The Air Guard was more welcoming to visitors to the observation towers before 9/11. I'm not sure if they've resumed letting public in. You could always call to find out. The NJ ANG has a website.
