I have seen this phenomenon on the weather radar in different locations several times recently and finally got a screenshot this morning. Don't remember seeing anything like this in the past, but maybe I just missed it? Perhaps it's a change in the radar that shows this kind of thing now?

Here's a very short video from the Radarscope app. What do you think causes this?

That crossed my mind. Would take a LOT of birds to cover that area. Also curious how the area near Salem is synchronized with the other one near Egg Harbor City.

You would not believe the numbers during migration; birds of a feather flock together ;) Dog's explanation gives a lot more details from the radars perspective.

Audubon's Fall Festival is later this month. The Morning Flight is a great show, at times thousands zooming by :eek:
