It's getting less with each hour; we are down to 6-8 from 8-14. The real weather is still out in OH, IN, KY, WV....

That map will auto-update with each change.

This is exactly what happens when you try to predict a storm system for the tri-state area BEFORE IT EVEN REACHES THE WEST COAST, which is exactly what the new forecasters did. Nothing like sensationalizing something and hyping it up, only to have a dud of a storm. If we have 3-inches on the ground, we're lucky. The original forecast for my area was 12-16 inches.

Never, ever, trust a computer model. The weather rock never fails :D But it is a bit of twisted fun. And folks wonder why there is doubt about the global warming side show

3 3/4 inches here in Nacle, measured on the back wooden deck that doesn't see sun this time of the year, so it is pretty accurate. I'm taking a break from plowing my 400 foot driveway. It is wet underneath and that will freeze. I am hugging a warm mug of Guinness, which is my treat when I do this job.

Keep an eye out for the law. PWI (Plowing While Intoxicated) is nothing to mess around with ;)

About three inches here.
Just ran the dogs into dark on a 3 mile loop and we were cutting minutes old sets of deer tracks everywhere.
With a low of 5 degrees predicted, they must know that they have a tough night ahead.

I am hard on my car, and after all of the driving in the woods over the years with this car you would think I would have damaged a rim. Well, all it took was a pothole on the way to my moms last week to do just that.

It was causing the wheel to shake pretty bad so I moved it to the back today until I can get a new rim.

Made it out during Monday's snowstorm at the only open airport (New Castle, DE) on the Alberta Clipper and Polar Bear to give an Ice Age talk at the National Snow and Ice Data Center.

Well I missed all the fun here, just returned home from a 10 day trip to my friend's home in Athens, Greece. When I left Newark the forecasts were still in flux. But they had been predicting as much as a foot of snow and I was concerned that thawing and freezing during the week might result in my car being frozen inside a block of ice when I returned. So I ended up paying a lot more $$$ and parking inside the garage.

As things turned out, I would have been fine in the long term open lot. You would never even know it had snowed in Newark when I got in late last night. Oh well, you pays your money, you takes your chances. Arriving home, same thing here. No sign of snow on the ground whatsoever.

Arriving in Athens, it was in the low 60's and everyone was complaining about how cold it was. Now the forecast calls for temperatures about 5 degrees F warmer here than Athens. Go figure....

It was a fantastic trip, but that's a little too off-topic for this thread. :)
