I was looking over aerial photos of the Michael Huber Prairie Preserve and noticed this. I only had a few hours early this morning before I had other things to do so I headed out there and walked to it. It was part of a trail they made years ago but nature has eliminated that crossing.
On the way back I came upon a truck parked off the road and I think I scared the man somewhat when I said hello. Anyway, we had a little chat and he is one of the caretakers. Told me a few things about the place and gave me a slight little scolding in a nice way for not wearing orange. The only thing orange I have is a heavy sweatshirt and a ski cap. Not the morning for that. Anyway, it was interesting and I am glad I ran into him.
