One other thing - don't bring alcohol. That's a $75 ticket.

Here's a good idea. My friends and I did this on July 3rd - July 4th when it was really hot!

Get a wilderness campsite permit for Mullica River Campgroud at the Atstion Ranger Station for Wharton State Forest. You can canoe to it if you wish. There is a nice sand beach to swim in, toilets, and drinking water out of a pump.

When we were there, there was only one other group on the total otherside. You can't drive out there so that prevents a lot of RV'ers and such.

We walked 4 miles from Atstion Ranger Station along the Yellow trail to the campsite. The next day, we walked another 4 miles or so to Batsto. We had a car dropped off there the night before. There was also a bridge near Batsto that we jumped off of into the river for awhile to cool off.

It's a good time, but be respectful and carry out your trash!
