My wife and I pulled a road kill deeper into the woods last Thursday and put a camera over it to watch the transformation.
Vultures found it immediately as expected but tonight, a bald eagle just a few minutes before I pulled the camera.
He was there several times today. I would have thought he would have been first in line

That may be the same eagle that frequents Chew Road. As we discussed, Jessica and I saw it swoop down in front of us to land on roadkill.

After seeing that the carcass had been dragged, I put the camera back out on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, I filled the card in one day with buzzards and a few eagle pics. Never got to see a coyote.

The eagle close-up and personal.

I was so disappointed that I didn't get a coyote on the camera.

After having seen that the carcass moved about 10' after Wednesday night, I knew one had to have done that . I put the camera out on Thursday morning before work and the camera shot and filled the 128 mb card before the end of the day. I purposely waited until tonight to pull it hoping to get some night photos but no go. I have to start using a bigger card.
