Charles Wills Grave Again

I may have mentioned his before, but some of the newer members may be interested in the transformation of the Charles Wills grave site near Eagle off of Speedwell road. It would be interesting to know what they did to improve the text on the stone.


I took this photo in the summer of 1978. Notice how the plants in the area are encroaching on the far stone.

Here is the writing on the stone in 1978.

In 2002 the stone miraculously is much cleaner and the text is mush more pronounced.

In 1979, I had a chance to buy 4 acres in Chatsworth from George Wills (must have been a close relation) for $11,000. It was on top of a hill. I passed it up............bob

Since you like "high spots" it would have been a perfect place to own!

It would be interesting to know why that marker is there, but it is a fairly recent addition so someone either just put it there, or someone from the family put it there from a relatives grave.
