I'm hearing it's not on the base but close to it. Twenty homes were evacuated as precautionary measures. The news feeds seem to confirm that. We are really dry right now. I have to double check but I think Northern NJ is in moderate drought already.

Odd though, the summary map shows a watch for some areas, but when you click on the region for to get the detail, the drought status is showing as "normal", though some of the indicators are elevated.

While we're Super dry. Only Northetrn NJ seems to be in s drought right now. We're not far behind if these storms don't widespread rain to the area.

Things are a bit dry. Most of the state has seen between 1 to 3 inches less rain than the historical normal over the past 30 days.
