Coyote sighting

We had a real great sighting of a large coyote near Hampton Furnace this morning. He crossed in front of the jeep just as we were nearing Hampton Furnace. I stopped to study the tracks and then parked near the Skit Branch Bridge to have our morning walk up the west side of the Skit. About a half mile up the dogs started to get frantic, we rounded a curve and there he was troting away from us. Fortunately we collected the dogs in time.

sounds interesting the only coyote sighting ive had was just south of the railroad tracks on carranza road.

I was also in that area around late morning with my family. We also did some hiking along the train tracks heading toward Stokes rd. but no coyotes, just a couple of hikers with their dogs.
