In a van down by the river
I found a pile of auto body parts about 2 weeks ago.I have always seen auto parts dumped in the area for over 20 years. Its in Hamilton twp Atlantic county,NJ.Its most likely municipal owned land. There are VIN numbers on the parts.I have zero luck reporting dumping even with pics of the actual dumping.Nobody from the state cares at all.I give up on reporting them.:( The authorities always say ''It's not my job try calling this department''.I already called that department.:bang:They told me to call your department.:argh:

If it is on state land it is their job to investigate. If it is municipal as you say they they should be doing it.

That app is nice but you have to be right at the location with location services turned on to use it. With my iPhone plan I need to be using wifi. So I come home and send them by email which I am sure is not the way they want to be notified. A slight tweak to that app allowing the user to put in the coordinates would allow me or anyone to use the app at home at their leisure.

If it's on municipal the local police should be investigating.

And if its private, nobody does, but they should. Call a local news org, maybe a story on the years of dumping might interest them and embarrass the authorities into doing something.

Are they the soft plastic bumper covers or are they steel? If the parts are plastic they don't want to pay to have them hauled away.

I will have to download it. I told them it must include the ability to manually put in GPS coordinates and if it doesn't it is basically useless to me and many others.

I downloaded it and you do have the ability to write in comments including the GPS cords. I will start using the app now rather than emailing. It seems well made.

Guy, do you think that is also for standard household and construction dumping? Seems specifically for hazardous waste.

As long as the field is available to type something I can use it to put in the GPS cords.
