I have a feeling there might be a big turnout.
Looks like you are not the only one that has that feeling. There was a short piece in The Press yesterday - the meeting has been moved to the Egg Harbor City Community School on Haven Ave. Still at 6:00
I have a feeling there might be a big turnout.

Good news! About 150 people showed up to the meeting. So many people spoke out against this project. No one from the public spoke in favor of redevelopment.
We were able to get council to rescind their vote from Nov 18th that accepted the planning board's determination to classify the lake as a redevelopment area. Then council voted to reject the planning board's recommendation. As of right now, the project is dead in the water. A rare victory in our country's race to the bottom development frenzy.
great write up, thank you for sharing!I know this issue was settled when the township tossed out the plan, but I wrote a post about it recently. Just thought the history of EHC and the issues surrounding development were interesting:
Growth Versus Preservation in Egg Harbor City
That's awesome! SustainableEHC does fantastic work.hi everyone, just an update on this:
Through SustainableEHC we applied for an AC Electric resiliency grant to improve this section of city lake park. We won and now are moving forward with installing kiosks, trail markers, interpretative signs, and benches. We also are going to plant trees to try and protect the area ripped up by ORVs. Our goal is to have it ready for memorial day weekend 2023.

If they can do it at Liberty State Park they can do it anywhere! It seems so simple. The town has nothing to stand on in my book.
