All,

This Friday through Sunday, there is a music festival at Paradise Lake Camprground in Hammonton, NJ off Rte. 206. I've gone to the past 2 and they've been a great time. There are about 20 bands, mostly local to the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. The music ranges from jam, reggae/dub, bluegrass, funk, folk and everywhere in between.

It's a great time to camp out in the Pines and watch some really amazing local music talent on the beach of a Pine Barrens lake.

Here are some links:

Tickets are $70 prior and $75 at the gate which includes camping on Friday and Saturday night.

Here are the bands:

The Jugband, Juggling Suns, Jim Weider (Project Perculator, he used to play in 'The Band'), Dirk Quinn, The Blue Method, Montoj, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Echo Movement, LaDean, Monacy, Codename, Groove Train Riders, Mason Porter, Turtle Soup, Bohemian Sunrise, Dynamo, Wisdom Jones, Madison Hotel, Standard Deviation with Patrick Mystery, Liquor Boxx, and Sharis'- Open Mic

Hope to see some of you folks there! Private Message me and we can try and meet up. I should be there with about 6 to 10 other music and Pine Barrens enthusiasts early Friday morning setting up our campsites.

Peace,

Justin

Glad you had a good time. Did you get to see Dynamo and Bohemian Sunrise?
Those guys are friends of mine. I didn't get to the festival this year, maybe next year.

Tom, my college roomates and I once hired Bohemian Sunrise to play our block party. I don't know if they've gotten a new keyboard player since then, but that dude is pretty good. There were several really tight and talented bands this weekend. Yvonne, what was the name of that Band from Philly that we really liked?

You will always have the hippie burnouts at fests but some of us clean ourselves up and re-enter society eventually:)

Gabe the keyboard player from Bohemian is very talented (Jimmy). Juggling Suns are a North Jersey based band that are pretty good too.

Gabe,

The Blue Method was the closer on Friday night and they are from Philly/South Jersey area. They are one of the best bands I've ever seen. Some really heavy funk/blues/James Brown kind of sound. The saxophone player had the crowd gaping during his 10 - 15 minute solo.

They are playing Friday at North Star if anyone is interested. Also at the Bellview Winery Seafood Festival on August 16th.
