That article is FUD. If you read the actual TOS it mentions nothing about collecting location data (besides allowing you to tag your location in a post), call history, etc.

The only thing that is slightly ominous is that a brand can pay to use your profile picture or status update if they want to advertise something. I don't really know if Coca-Cola really would want to have Joe Blow from Kansas City be in their advertising. This is something they've been talking about for years. It's really not as big of a deal as people make it out to be, especially those kinds of "The Sky is Falling" websites.

But basically, if you don't like Facebook's TOS then you have the opportunity to not use it. As someone who runs a website, I can appreciate that stance.
