Tom, that has to be the green fringed orchid again, but now the petals are so dried up it is unrecognizable. See #92.

That dang monkey popping up again. I think you are correct about the orchid. I can't wait until next spring/summer. Here is a picture of the area they were in. Another easy hike but I did get to test my new knee-hi's. View attachment 781
I was talking to Jeff.....he got covered with chiggers last week. Be careful out there from now on. A spray on your boots will help, but won't be a total solution. The very best solution is to wear the boots and light pants and constantly check yourself. Lately I have also sprayed the first 4 inches on the inside of the boots too.
