That dang monkey popping up again. I think you are correct about the orchid. I can't wait until next spring/summer. Here is a picture of the area they were in. Another easy hike but I did get to test my new knee-hi's. DSC00775.jpg

A feeder stream to the Rancocas somewhere close to town?

Excellent, you got your gum boots! How do you like the freedom they give you?

I was talking to Jeff.....he got covered with chiggers last week. Be careful out there from now on. A spray on your boots will help, but won't be a total solution. The very best solution is to wear the boots and light pants and constantly check yourself. Lately I have also sprayed the first 4 inches on the inside of the boots too.

Yes, One of many feeders in this area. I like to get a picture everytime I'm near any water that eventually runs into the Rancocas. Now that I have my boots the mud and water don't stop me. In the old days I just wore old sneakers but the muck can take them away. Here is a picture from the North Branch of the Rancocas.DSC00734.jpg

Took my nephew fishing at the end of the street. This is Little Pine lake which is incorrectly labeled Big Pine lake on maps. It flows into Mirror lake which flows into the N. branch of the Rancocas.DSC00753.jpg

Too late! I have many bites on my legs and also the dreaded Jockey short outline.

Nice stream bottom Tom. Good exploring area?

I've only checked out about 100 yards of it. It's another feeder stream of the Rancocas called Ong's Run. I believe Guy has been upstream looking for a sawmill base here in Browns mills. DSC00787.jpg

I believe Guy visited this base way back in the sawmill thread. If not the .50 will come in handy. There was a ton of Sagittaria in the area. DSC00799.jpg
