All,

We were driving down a road today and came upon what I believe is another sawmill base.

We also found this same type of caterpillar before. Jessica found two today.

The Gentian is in bloom as Oji has mentioned so look out for them.

This is slender rattlesnake root.

A baby spider on one of the Gentians.

Just about there. The bees were going in them before they opened.

We then traveled to Hidden Lakes (Old Half Way) to check on the fire. The outer edges of the western pit was burned most likely by back fires. Not really sure.

I went around the outer edges and maped it with my GPS. I believe there are stones and maybe some historical locations in the fire area. Luckily, because the fire is in the fall I will have all winter to have a clear view of the place.

And things you find in the woods!

I'd think twice about grabbing this bad boy if I didn't already know my venomous caterpillars for this area. This isn't one of them though.Probably shouldn't be grabbing caterpillars anyways.I might be irreversibly damaging them psychologically by handling them.I"d hate to create a generation of mentally disturbed butterflies.generation
