Approximately 3 miles West of 206 in a "remote area of Waterford" according to Action News. 100 acres so far and 50% contained. Chew road was mentioned but they said no homes were threatened. Maybe Scott or George could give us a report.

A buddy of mine who is a section warden said it was near the plastic bridge. I was driving south of Atsion on 206 and could smell and see the smoke. That was at approximately 3:00. All the major networks had their news vans parked by the Atsion mansion. I also saw the helicopter with the big bucket.

Latest update is 106 acres @ 60% containment as of 08/27/08. Mainly timber. Minimal surface fire with extensive areas of ground fire. Smoke will continue to be dense in the area. Expecting to be 100% contained on 08/28/08. Probably won't be declared out until the next big rainfall.

We had all of our windows open last night and we woke up from a dead sleep from the smell of the smoke at 2:30 a.m.
It was hanging thick with no air moving at all.
