A reminder. If you have nothing else to do Sunday, and are so inclined to get up early, the annual Forked River Mountain Cleanup is scheduled. Arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 at the lacey Township Municipal Building, just East of the Parkway on Lacey Road in Forked River.

My crew will be cleaning up by the Eureka Gun Club and Webbs Mill.

Free hot dogs, drinks, and cookies will be held on the Mountain around noon. You'll be out of there by 1:30.

I will see if I can make that Bob. I am not sure. I like the area!

Hey Bob,

I have got four guys on board to attend the cleanup. Do we need to call that number or can we just show up? I'm working on Sun., but the guys that I'm working with on Sunday are excited about it and ready to go. I think I'll be taking a Subaru outback so we can just follow one of the crews, its pretty good on the sand roads.

You can just show up and see me, I'll make sure you are assigned with someone if not me. You won't be there? I can't tell from your post if you are working Sunday somewhere else, and only they will be there?

I will be there with the guys. It does sound confusing after re-reading my post. Some of them are mobility impaired but that will not stop them from participating.

Hey Bob,
I enjoyed meeting Dave and the other two gentlemen (forgot their names). We did pretty good in that area, had the front end loader come out to help with the heavy stuff. One of my dudes was pretty sunburn and exhausted so we cut out early on the mountain festivities, sorry we missed you. We did enjoy some refreshments and I checked out the the mountain views, very nice! Freakin Ticks everywhere!! I been picking them off me and burning 'em since we got back. Surprised a garter snake and a swifty lizard during the day.

Ben, Tom (and crew), and Jeff, you did a great job today. This day was unusually heavy. We filled up 3 large dumpsters and 2 smaller ones. Even had to leave 2 large truckfulls (I'm talking dump trucks) on the ground! We feel 30 tons will be about the weight of the total haul.

Jeff, Ben, and I also cleaned up a pot farm that was about 5 years old. They had the plants growing in about 40 of those 5 gallon buckets. They even had a greenhouse for the seedlings.

Now, if we can just get people to stop dumping.

Bob,
Was this an abandoned pot farm or active?:D

How was the get together on the mountain guys? I was only there for a little while. Did you all have a couple cold ones afterward?

Mostly contractor and homeowners. In fact, all the crap dumped these days is by contractors and homeowners.

Dragon; only a garter snake.

Got this years total back today:

36.15 tons of Trash
8.67 tons of Concrete
2.25 tons of Tires

That leads to a 14 year total of 393 tons (786,000 pounds).
