That's Greenwood WMA's Quail management area. I would not go there without hunter orange today or during the week.

Yeah I am not today. I would just like to plan a new adventure and I have never been there. Can you park right there in the entrance on 539?

Glenn,

When you are out walking the bogs in Parker Preserve keep in mind that there are spots in the dikes that have been cut and are impassible. Stick to the blazed trails and you won't have any problems. The first time I was out hiking the preserve I backtracked many times when making what I thought was a shortcut only to find out that the there was a deep cut and flowing water at the dead end that I couldn't get around.

Yes, you can park there. If there are other vehicles there, they are most likely hunters. There are 2 other areas for parking; one on Bloody Ridge Rd, the other around back on Hay Rd.

You may want to wait a month or so to go to the Greenwood location. Many hunters believe that because the land was purchased with their license money that you should not be there when they are hunting.

To take the guess work out of it you may also want to go here to walk in the Parker Preserve. Drive up to the gate and park.
