Today was the FRM cleanup, and I decided to join in and help. Jessica also participated along with my WIFE!

We met BobM and the others at the Lacey municipal building and were given our road to clean. We were assigned the road adjacent to the Factory Branch by Bob, and started cleaning just after 9AM.

We filled 5 bags of trash and left the bigger stuff in the road. We were met on the road by a man and his children who drove back over the area we cleaned and we picked up the bags. We then proceeded to the dumpster and the trash was removed.

Around noon we headed to the top of the mountain for food, drink, and music.

I noticed and was told a few interesting things that you may notice when you go there next. The township filled in the hole on the top so the water puddle is gone. They also cut down numerous trees along the path up. And I just realized after Bob mentioned it how bad the quads and vehicles have destroyed the one section of the hill. They have eroded a section of the hill where a natural spring is at which Bob pointed out to me. Check that out the next time you visit.

I wish I knew you were there Guy. I would have tracked you down to say Hi. I was working a different area than you, but I Imagine we were on the mountain at the same time for lunch.

It was nice of your family to participate guy, thanks. This is about the 10th one for me. We are now over 305 tons of junk pulled from the woods (610,000 lbs)!

Thats right, I'm sorry German, it never occurred to me you were both there at the same time.

I was going to ask Bob to point you out but forgot. You may have seen the township truck leaving the top of the hill as the man was singing the FRM song he wrote. I was on the back of it with my daughter and my wife was inside.

It was nice doing two days, and even better that my wife enjoyed herself. She did really well picking up trash and genuinely had fun. That is a good thing :) She was really tired out and both her and Jessica went to bed an hour ago.

On the road we were on there was a side road that went down to the Factory Branch, and semi recently the edge of the Cedar Swamp had been removed leaving a really nice view into a perfect swamp. I took her down and she was able to see for the first time what I am talking about. Not as impressed as I had hoped but good enough. Anyway, I got to see it and was impressed. I may stop back sometime with Jessica to explore.

BTW Steve, how is your moms house? Does she seem happy with it?
