Was walking around my backyard this evening when this little green snake caught my eye.

This is the best time of year to find them. Easy to see as they always seem to be up off the ground like the one you found. Thanks for the photos.

Awesome find! With all the times I've been in the Pine Barrens, I've never seen one (yet!). I've heard the same things that Teegate said, this is the best time of year to find them, especially before the leaves come out and they end up blending in completely.

I find them down here every other year or so.Usually I find them crossing sand roads while I"m walking.
