Not the Paint works but same design...... well its close
If everyone gives up then I will tell where. But it still doesn't solve the question of what it was?? What is the history of this pic? The Paint Works? Never heard of it or where?
The Paint Works was the former Lucas Paint Factory, later Sherwin Williams in Gibbsboro.
The brick kilns were preserved as a memneto of its industrial past when Scarborough converted the Paint Works into an office park in the 1980's.

The square corbeled stacks at Gibbsboro are a peculiar design specific to manufacturing varnish. The large stacks generated maximum draft to carry away volatile spirits from the closed oven pots inside the buildings used in the manufacturing process. Varnish manufacturing and the associated stacks were usually constructed a distance from all other plant buildings due to the danger of fire.

so my red tower may have made varnish. Wouldn't have thought a paint factory was standing in my back ground. I wonder where there is history on this at?

Varnish stacks are virtually always constructed in a series of three or four. While anything is possible, based on the appearance of the stack you photographed, it suggests the single stack served a powerhouse or, perhaps, a brick kiln, that is now demolished.
