We were at the inside bar almost every Friday or Saturday night from May until October for the last 15 years or so.
Always a good place to ride out a storm with several cold beers and a Rum Runner chaser.

II thought of you when I saw the article. Beautiful views upstairs, great in bad weather when you can't use the deck. It appears it will still be a restaurant. Here is a fun video of what is underneath it.
You also don't have to cross over that insane bridge to get to 2-mile landing., but we love the crab shack.
