That's weird, usually out here on LI they keep the power ROW's clear of any trees, usually just sand, pine seedlings, and grass. It is true that you often find deer grazing here.

High Energy Issues

I'm wondering if spending a lot of time under those wires can lead to health problems like brain tumors---I recall this was an issue up for discussion in Jersey at one time...well, I guess if you lived under them 24/7...who knows.:clint:

For years they talked about that, and now they build houses almost directly under them and people pay big bucks for them. Go figure! You never hear about that now, except your post.

Well I generally dont like walking along the high tension lines too much for just that reason. I remember seeing a photo of some people holding flourescent tubes below the lines and they LIT UP!
It's more scenic walking away from the lines anyway, but in the warm season, you kind of want to be on a nice, open path that wont have ticks or those pesky pine flies.
