looking for nice ideas and maybe some nice local shops that sell rustic/log cabin type interior decor. I'm looking to do a cross between log cabin and pine barrens themed interior and exterior. If any of you could point me in the right direction or post some pics of your similar themed house I'd appreciate it.

I got a log home. thecabinshop.com has neat stuff as does blackforestdecor.com, but a little pricey. Places like Cabela's have home decor too. I've acquired many prints on cross country road trips and small shops near our place in the Adirondacks. I dont have any newer pics but we've since added more. This is our living room a little while back. Im looking to put some pheasant, quail, and steelhead I've hunted/fished on the wall soon too. Hope these sites help.

Spung-Man,
thanks fo rthat article, how the days have changed.

Piney Mike, something we can agree on:rofl:

I have thecabinshop saved under my favorites, I'll have to check out the other one. I'll also be keeping my eyes open on my way doen to North Carolina next weekend. I really like the picture you have, looks like something out of a magazine or a brocheure for one of the sites that you have mentioned. I also took a run up to Cabelas about a month ago and discovered the Bargain cave section. Got some really nice Birch Bark top end tables for 70% off, so the $80 set of tables i got for a little more than 20 bucks. along wih some nice woods carvings and also some whitetail dinner plates. I was curious if maybe smithville had any small shops that would fit my requests or even any other small roadside shops in south jersey. I'm definately using my mind with some stuff I have found in the pines over the years.
thanks again

Theres a few neat stores in Smithville, but nothing all too cabin-esque. One has some neat signs. If you're looking for furniture, I'd check out Lancaster before anywhere else. We got a log bed from the Amish when the ones I found online were anywhere from $600-$2,000. We paid $250. When I was down in Gatlinburg they had tons of those cabin shops so I'd imagaine if you're a little inland in Carolina you'll run into a few. 46er might have some cool pics of his cabin upstate.

Oops, he just posted
