I don't have a fear of heights but those high-rise building below the spire look rather small! I remember watching a video similar to this, where two men were changing lights or inspecting wires on a radio antenna and I thought how incredible it was for them to be free climbing at those extreme heights.

I could do it if i had steady objects to hold onto.No tight rope crap for me and no swaying objects.If it was solid and I could hold on or was roped in I'd be alright.

Climbed a 250 ft tower in Millville when I was 16.same kind of ladder but no cage.Dropped a boot from top to see how high it bounced.Guy on ground said ten feet.Knocked the sole off of it.Had to throw a rope ten feet up and over bottom rung since they had cut that much off to prevent just what i was doing.I walked up the side to the bottom rung and then climbed up.Could see Malaga to the north,Tuckahoe to the east past Bridgeton to the west and nothing but woods to the south.Security guard ran us off when I reached bottom.

Climbed a 250 ft tower in Millville

I climbed almost half of the antenna by Quakerbridge Mall when I was seventeen. I had my climbing harness on with a set of lobster claws though. The climb down was just as tiring as the climb up! It is the antenna that can be seen from the 95 and Route 1 intersection. You could get away with doing something like that in Nineteen-Ninety.

This ones a tad bit higher, so I don't think you would bounce very high 1,776 feet down, symbolism at its highest

I climbed the Black Tower in 1980.The ladder started ten ft off the ground and was shoulder wide for about 200 ft up then went down to about nipple wide the rest of the way which meant you had to basically hug the ladder to climb it.had no harness.One kid with me sat on top,the edge was about three inches wide and completely scooted around it.He was crazy.One kid wussed out and only climbed fifty feet and went back down.The crazy kid took off his boots and dropped em to the ground,the wuss said they bounced ten feet high.I hung onto to the top of the ladder for dear life so I was not a wuss but could not be blessed with the title CRAZY either.

Saw this on the news today. It's been almost 2 years already! I'm glad these guys aren't afraid of heights...
