Guy-

Nice work with the sideways signature! :)

When I take a photo with my camera turned 90 degrees and run the program to put my name on it, it shrinks it down really small making it odd looking. So I have to turn all of them 90 degree, then run the program, and then turn them back.

You can see it here.

We made it through the storm without a flicker, and then lost power yesterday at 10:30 AM and just got it back a little bit ago. Apparently something in the valley was flood damaged and finally rolled over. Here's a thread with some pics of what Long Valley looked like Sunday morning:

Nothing like the problems in New England, thankfully, but enough to get our attention.

So I have to turn all of them 90 degree, then run the program, and then turn them back.

So it's a technical thing... I thought it was a touch of artistic humor. Works well for this photo, anyway.

The latest from the Madman at Accuweather.

"In regards to Katia, I think the Outer Banks will be skirted probably Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, and that Nova Scotia could end up getting hit by the storm.

On the flip side, if the trough ends up being stronger, that would mean huge implications on the flooded areas of the Northeast. It would mean that Katie gets shoved far out to sea and Lee comes north with flooding rain over the areas hit by flooding from Irene. That would be a real disaster for the folks trying to clean up from Irene."

How did you ever find that site Guy? I'll be that beach is in a place like Rio.

I have a program for Safari called "Stumble" that I just pick various interests and it searched the web and displays them. For example, I have photography as one interest and just now I went there and this showed up. They both look like they could be in the pines somewhere. The second one could be in Hammonton in a blueberry field :D

Preliminary report on Irene from the NWS: http://www.weather.gov/view/validProds.php?prod=PSH&node=KPHI

Here are some rainfall totals for selected South Jersey locations (inches). Estell Manor, where I live, had the highest rainfall in South Jersey, which is odd, since we didn't have any significant flooding and didn't lose power. But they got much more rain farther North and West. Easton PA had 11.5 inches for example.
