OK, last bit of GIS info for now.

http://www.state.nj.us/dep/gis/imapnj/imapnj.htm

Welcome to i-MapNJ, an environmental mapping tool that can provide you with information about your neighborhood, county, or state (NJ). With this unique application, homeowners can find out what’s in their backyard; and environmental organizations, planners, and builders can identify open space, various regulatory boundaries, sensitive lands, watersheds, and much, much more.
Although the application is very user friendly, you might want to first review the Tutorials before diving in. Then take it for a test drive and see for yourself how much environmental information you can access. The amount of information available increases as you zoom in closer and closer on a particular area. This information, called “data layers,†can be seen to the left of the map. After you have created your map, you can print it for future reference.
NJDEP offers training classes in i-MapNJ for the public. View our training page for upcoming session information.
Stop by this site often, as enhancements are planned for the near future, including an easy-to-use report writing tool and real-time air, soil, and water contaminant data from remediation sites.

i-MapNJ: Internet Mapping in New Jersey
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) GIS Unit has developed i-MapNJ, an environmental interactive mapping application. i-MapNJ enables users to view and perform basic GIS analyses on regulated sites in New Jersey from data residing in NJDEP's New Jersey Environmental Management System (NJEMS). i-MapNJ provides users the ability to perform both NJEMS and GIS data queries and display the spatial relationships of NJEMS sites with respect to each other and in relation to other GIS mapped data layers.

i-MapNJ NJEMS/OPRA Training Available
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Geographic Information Systems is offering a unique training opportunity for the general public. Instruction will be given on the use of i-MapNJ NJEMS and OPRA Online Reports.
i-MapNJ NJEMS is a web-based interactive mapping application that enables users to view and perform basic GIS analyses on regulated sites residing in NJDEP's New Jersey Environmental Management System (NJEMS). Attendees will perform both NJEMS and GIS data queries, and display the spatial relationships of NJEMS sites with respect to other GIS data layers. OPRA Online Reports provide the public with real-time environmental data in a searchable format. When used together, i-MapNJ NJEMS and OPRA Online Reports provide a powerful means to perform environmental analysis.
