I pulled a car out of the sand this morning.

That is a tough spot. I go really fast and never have a problem.

Were they there all night? I would have to assume that.

They said they were there since 5 AM. They had a big tent setup which could hold 6 easily. They were a very eclectic couple, but I will say no more here. Another fun spot is in front of the pump at Batona Camp. People think they can drive up to it. I think it may have been a devious trap.

Nice Job Ed! Nice to see people help others out there. I remember getting stuck in 75 and the first guy said he pull me out for $50 I said no thanks I wait. Some guy in a rusty jeep pulled me out and gave me a cold beer. Drove away and said just help the next guy out.

So now I'm curious!

That's right, Dogg. What goes around comes around. I'm still helping people out to pay back for the nice people who have helped me out, and you run into the other kind too.

I have pulled cars out of many places that they should not have been, recently I rescued a Honda Fit on Mount Road that was in 2 huge ruts, not sure how or why he tried the line he did. It was also a younger couple that were travelling from Wading Pines to Trenton. They said there GPS directed them that way. I also pulled a Lincoln LS out of that really sandy area to cut off from Quaker Bridge Road to head into Mount after Penn Swamp. Their GPS was to blame as well. Last Sunday I helped a group of younger explorers get their Xterra out of a doors deep hole near Dorothy Ave in Atco. Dogg and Pan are correct, what comes around goes around. I have been helped out of a few jams myself by the errant passer by. To me, that is what it's about though.

The only time I ever got stuck and couldn't get out was that misadventure that I mentioned on another thread. But being an extremist I picked an extreme place to get stuck where nobody ever comes by to rescue me. If you're going to go to the trouble of getting stuck you might as well do a proper job of it, that's what I say.

Where needed.
I've pulled a number out over the years myself. I always have a hard time on new vehicles, esp. when they're buried deep, trying to figure out where to attach the hook. There's so much plastic, I'm afraid I'll end up with half a car behind me!!
