Here are a few photos of some extreme cold weather on the cranberry bog's. Ice is 7" thick. -8 degrees last night 2/20/15. Keeping the ice cut and chopped around the flood gates freeing them from attachment in case elevation change in the water. It has been a couple cold winters the last two years. Bundle up out there my friends cause its cold cold cold!!!!!!!!!!!

Changed the batteries this morning on my camera and in 5 minutes our toes were really cold. Jess took her boots off to warm them next to the heater vent. Did not go past any bogs to see them.

I drove through Whitesbog a couple times this week (shortcut to Rt. 70). Most areas are frozen except the spots where the water is constantly flowing.

Its been a tough winter this year. The cranberry root structure and fruit buds are safe and protected covered with water from the freezing. I just hope the blueberries hold up in these extreme cold temps. -8 degrees is pretty tough on the plant and fruit buds.
